Clementine is the definition of cool and sexy; music is still on point; graphics is definitely a step up, but shadows feels wonky. There are some new ideas, but their implementation goes both ways in terms of gameplay. For example, collectibles. Yeah, it is a nice addition, it adds immersion to the story. On the other hand, it distracts your gameplay by finding anything. And it makes the game a bit predictable. The whole game gets predictable towards the end, and the end is... Without spoilers, I didn't like it at all. Not the outcome, that was satisfying, but the execution. On a different story note, I got sad, because I really loved A New Frontier and there is no mention about the people's storylines. Anyway, this is overall good ending to an excellent series, and I give a big THANK YOU to Skybonud Games to finish the story.. The Walking Dead: The Final Season is a great conclusion of a franchise that had ups and downs through the road. Before I get started, I just want you to know that this review might include spoilers about the previous seasons so if you haven't played them yet, stop reading now. The Final Season revolves around Clementine and AJ so thankfully, we don't have Javier or any other characters from The New Frontier. You can easily tell that the game tries to bring back the first season feeling, not that it fails but the things they do are just not enough to make it feel like the first season. Gameplay is simple and there is not much to say about it really. It's basically same with TNF plus it has unscripted combat, which is a good thing but again, it doesn't have any puzzles. At least it doesn't feel like an interactive movie this time. Well, it partially does but you get my meaning. Story is where this game shines best. I won't go in full detail but I'll explain it briefly. It's something you've never seen in The Walking Dead universe before. There are no adults, only kids who are trying to survive in an abandoned school. In the beginning, Clem says that AJ had no place to call home before and this school is a perfect opportunity for him to grow up since there are no adults. However, things don't go well for Clem and AJ. From what I've heard, originally story was planned as a road trip and AJ was hardly in it but they had to scrap that idea due to financial issues. I'm pretty happy about how it ended up, though. Currently there is no way to buy this game on Steam. After Telltale's downfall, Skybound decided to move the franchise to Epic Store. If you want to download another launcher just for this game, go ahead and buy it there but if you don't, I'm pretty sure you can find some leftover keys on third party sites.. An emotional conclusion to Clementine's story. 7 years in the making playing from the first season to the final season we see Clementine grow from a little child to an independent, strong and responsible young adult capable of taking care of herself in this harsh world. Coupled with strong supporting characters that are mostly likeable, interesting and relatable it adds a strong sense of responsibility, depth and meaningful choices consistently throughout the series. The game has kept me at the edge of my seat and I was curious and eager to find out what will happen next and I was able to finish it in 1 day (whereas other episodic game would usually take 5 days or more). I also waited for the developer to complete the entire season so that I can enjoy everything at once. To date, TWD series is one of the best narrative experience I have ever had playing video games and I want to recommend this series to everyone regardless if you are a fan of the TV series as they have nothing in common. Finally, I would like to give thanks to Telltale games and Skybound entertainment for making and finishing the final chapter of Clementine's story. your effort was well worth it and may all the employees that have lost their jobs find success in their future endeavours.. All I can say is Holy \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665. I'm so glad to be apart of this community. I've been playing and watching this game since the very start and that was about 7 years ago. Amazing series, sucks it has to come to an end but every story has it's ending and the walking dead went out in a blast!. What a great way to end this Series.Thank you.. Much better than season 3, good ending to the series. Sad to see the series be finished, but luckily they were able to finish it.
